In March almost all major operators including Betfair, Bet365, Pinnacle, Energybet and William Hill announced their withdrawal from the Polish market, leaving a lot of poker players in limbo and narrowing down options of where to bring their business.
While plenty of operators have shied away from acquiring a Polish gambling license due to a severe 12% tax based on turnover, Bwin seems to be taking the opposite stance.
As per the an email sent to its Polish customers Bwin is in constant contact with the authorities regarding the licensing process.
However, if Bwin will be licensing all of its products including poker remains to be seen.
